NEW DELHI—The United States has decided to support India with oxygen cylinders, oxygen generation systems, oxygen concentrators, ventilators, therapeutics, personal protective equipment, tests, and other related supplies as the South Asian nation struggles with a huge surge in COVID-19 cases. Critics say the help has been slow in coming. Over the past five days, India has set a world record for a single-day increase in coronavirus cases, with more than 300,000 new cases each day and a peak of 352,991 new cases on April 26.
